Ghee Roasted Asian Pear with Blueberries

Who says you can't have nutrient rich comfort food while trying to lose weight?

Hit the spot with a bowl of ghee-roasted Asian pear with almonds, sunflower seeds and a dash of cinnamon. Nuts, seeds and cinnamon help prevent insulin spike which is important for weight loss.

Makes a great hit-the-spot snack or healthy dessert

Serving Size: 1-2 people

Total Cooking Time: 15 minutes


1 Asian pear

½ cup blueberries

4-5 chopped almonds

1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

Dash of Cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon ghee


1. Peel and chop the Asian pear into small cubes.

2. In a small pan, heat the ghee and saute pear lightly for 2-3 minutes until cooked.

3. Add a dash of cinnamon powder to the pear. Stir and add blueberries.

4. Remove from fire and serve with almonds and pumpkin seeds.
